Trainer Profiles
Taya-Gae Leemeijer
BCOMMU, Cert III and IV in Fitness
Taya-Gae Leemeijer, founder of TCL Personal Training, has been involved in the fitness industry since the age of 16. Her career was kick started during her final year at high school, completing her Fitness Leader and Group Fitness Instruction qualifications; utilizing these as a Group Fitness Instructor at Club BJ’s. After completing high school, and moving to live on campus at the University of Queensland, Taya continued to become involved in the fitness industry working for various clubs throughout Brisbane, namely Zest Health Clubs (previously Allsports Lifestyle Clubs) and Living Well Lifestyle Clubs as a group fitness instructor teaching Body Attack, Body Jam and RPM. Taya also had the privilege of being a shadow presenter at the Les Mills instructor quarterly workshop in December 2002. Following this, Taya also ventured overseas teaching Body Attack for Planet Fitness – one of the leading health and fitness chains in Singapore.
Following her return to Australia, Taya had a few years break from the industry, but continued to participate in various triathlons, running and dancing activities. Due to her passion for fitness and overall enthusiasm in helping others achieve their personal health and fitness goals, Taya decided to return to the industry after completing her Bachelor of Business Communications and, certificate III and IV in Fitness.

Erika Kohncke
(Certificate III & IV in Fitness)
Erika Kohncke has worked in the fitness industry for the past 7 years, specialising in one-on-one personal training and group fitness. She has spent most of her career at Club BJ Fitness Centre as a gym instructor and personal trainer gaining valuable experience in helping people enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Her desire for this career stems for her lifelong passion for being active and giving everything a go, from triathlon to beach volleyball and fun runs to afternoon walks along the Brisbane River. Erika has represented Australia at the World Duathlon Championships and was the Queensland State Age Champion for Triathlon and would love to get others involved in being active. You don’t need to be a super athlete to get in there and have fun as there is something for everyone! Whilst enjoying outdoor activities, Erika instructs numerous Les Mills classes, including Body Attack, Body Step and Body Pump, intense indoor cycling classes and has fun with freestyle aerobics.
